I solved the most unknown glitch in DS3, the dark sign sun permanently disappearing in certain locations at random. Imagine if DS 3 allowed you to carry forward your save from DS 1 or DS 2, and you can fight a phantom, buffed up version of your character as one of the Lords of Cinder bosses.
One of the four fighting forms the Soul of Cinder takes seems really similar to someone from Carthus would do. The one where it wields a curved sword similar to the skeletons' weapons in the Catacombs and it uses pyromancy to empower itself while breathing out poison to harm the player. This is how the soldiers in Carthus would operate as they really didn't have a 'noble' way to battle and would do anything to achieve victory like their High Lord Wolnir.
These are just patterns I noticed and is really just food for thought. It should be noted that there are always 4 great souls that u need to gather to link the flame cinders in here Abyss watchers are standing for Gravelord Nito Aldrich for four kings which are linked to Gwyn Yhorm the giant to bed of chaos and witch of izalith Lothric, younger prince to Seath the scaleless Ludleth of courland might be linked to the pigmy which can explain why his so small compared to other lords.
I highly doubt Unkindled are "failed Lords of Cinder" especially as the Knight's backstory is explicitly given as having collapsed from exhaustion and they are Unkindled. Guess that's why "speculation" was put up there, but it's more of a groundless theory that belongs in the comments section. There's no lore, only speculation and guessing.
That's always been the problem with Soulsborne. Lothric, younger Prince, is not a Lord of Cinder since he hasn't linked the fire. The flame itself is very weak form countinued relighting so it can barelly cover your character. Can you beat the game without lighting any bonfire after High wall of Lothric. Another important thing to consider with Lothric's status: the engraving on the back of his designated throne reads, "Holy King of Lothric, Last Hope of his Line.

Lore Speculation Unkindled are failed Lords of Cinder, succeeding in linking the flame, but too weak to survive the burst of fire. Lords of Cinder cannot Link the Flame on their own, and all five are needed. The Lords of cinder have linked the fire long ago, but it still fades and it was deemed "not enough". The new order was to have all 5 of them link it again, this time together for a stronger sacrifice.
Only Ludleth of Courland was willing to make the sacrifice. He had his legs removed should his will waver, as the first time he linked the fire must had been traumatic.
No one else wants to link the flame. It might be that they barely survived the first time or it hurts like hell. The champion of ash, a long with many other unkindled are awoken from death, possibly by the fire's call, to bring all mighty Lords back, dead or alive. Despite having served as the fuel for the First Flame for this long of a time the Lords of Cinder still retain a good amount of the fire within their body.
This in fact could be the very reason the Player Character has to find the Lords of Cinder, slay them and thereby retake their souls to then feed them to the First Flame again by Linking it.Join VIP to remove all ads and videos. The Soul of Cinder is resistant to fire, so opt to use dark spells if you work with pyromancy most preferably Black Fire Orb. Always keep your distance from the Soul of Cinder. The first phase will be the most difficult, especially in its first swordphase. Choose your time to cast carefully, try always to use your spell after it has attacked. Still, your first priority is keeping your distance.
Doing so will allow you to attack it while it is missing its attacks at you. Just beware of being hit by its own fireball. Just beware of its spear charge and continue keeping your distance, and its spinning attack will miss you completely, giving you the chance to lob some spells at it. During its sorcery phase, beware of casting at the same time as it, unless it is using spells that are slower than yours and leave you the chance to dodge.
Soul Stream is a good time to deal damage. During Phase II the boss will have considerably less health, making this portion quicker. An attack you need to be careful of is its jumping slash. This is very fast and will close the distance to you almost instantly.
Whenever it wants to do the five-hit-combo, it will raise up its greatsword and charge up the flame for a brief second, which allows you to evade. If you manage to evade being hit during its five-hit combo, it will simply continue doing the combo at nothing.
This is a great chance to deal damage, but be careful not to get hit, since any hit during the combo will combo you. Fast swings tricky, this can be part of a 3 hit combo, it's safest to attack after the combo ends. Crystal Homing Soulmasses have some AI, they are reluctant to attack when your shield is up. They get much more active when you lower your guard.Join VIP to remove all ads and videos. He is a purely magical boss and is a force to be reckoned with while he's accompanied by his brother and partner boss Lorian, Elder Prince.
While his magic makes for a challenging fight when synergized with his brother, he has only three attacks and is vulnerable alone. Only Youtube Partners can place videos. Embeds from FL channel only - please add your link below if you're a partner.
Phase 1: This phase doesn't actually involve Lothric, but is still relevant due to it being part of the fight and a prerequisite in order to even fight Lothric. It's a pretty easy fight during the first phase as his attacks leave big windows. Move towards him, bait his combo which is most often a double horizontal slash and then roll backwards out of harms way, moving back in at the end of the combo to capitalize on the window. Be cautious because some of his combos, like the double horizontal slash, will sometimes be followed up with a vertical slash and there seems to be no way to tell which combo it will be aside from waiting and watching.
Although a sure fire window is after the holy flame beam attack and after the flame wave attack, those never have immediate follow-ups so if you really want to play it safe only attack then, but often it will be pretty easy to attack him during other combos, just risky.
Try to not get hit at all to conserve all estus the second phase. Phase 2: First phase involving Lothric, he appears sitting on Lorian's back at the carpet near balcony doesn't matter where was Lorian "killed".
Lothric will do 4 things. He will cast multiple tiny homing magic projectiles into the air which will float until locating you and then beam towards you. When that spell is cast, just roll through them. When you see them cast, distance yourself from Lorian to allow yourself to only focus on dodging that sorcery.
Move in for attacks on Lorian during his windows after combos and while Lothric is inactive he has a lot of down-time during the fight; he's not constantly casting.
Be careful of one combo that Lothric and Lorian will often do. Almost right after Lorian performs his holy fire beam attack, Lothric will fire off a homing spear sorcery, so now just be sure to be ready to dodge right after Lorian slams his sword down.
But when you do get Lorian's health all the way down, move in and barrage Lothric with attacks for only seconds and then run away for he's casting a healing miracle which doubles as an AOE blast Wrath of Gods? The fight will just continue as normal and the next time Lorian goes down odds are Lothric is dead, very close so it will be the last time he goes down.
This boss is just plain harsh on pureblood casters. If you get hit without a block, you will generally die. Phase 1 isn't too horrible, but is still not fun. Lorian will teleport on top of you, requireing either a block or good dodge frequently. Try to block the first shot shield with physical and max fire resistthen dodge the following attack s.
No fancy spells for this, it seems just Great Heavy Soul Arrow will be your bread and butter here. If you can get far enough from Lorian down the hall, he will just crawl on his knees towards you, giveing time for blasts before he teleports you and you have to reset him. Lothric will climb on Lorian's back, and cast spells from there. Hopefully you got good at dodging after the first block in phase 1, because failing to do so in phase 2 will almost guarentee death.
Lothric will not be constantly casting, however.Dark Souls 3 Cinders Mod Weapon Showcase - Rakuyo
Try to get away from them like you did in phase 1 so Lorian has to crawl towards you. Wait for lorian to cast, then get a few casts in yourself.
When you dps Lorian down, Lothric will get off and res him.Casting a miracle requires either a Chime or a Talismanas well as sufficient Faith. Most miracles can be learned from the miracle trainer Irina of Carim. Call forth a shower of holy spears, dealing 80 Physical damage per bullet.

Aldrich became a lord by devouring men, but was disillusioned with his throne, and so took to devouring gods instead. Lonely Yhorm became a Lord of Cinder to put the Profaned Flame to rest, knowing full well that those who spoke of him as lord were quite insincere. The Lothric bloodline was obsessed with creating a worthy heir, and when this proved impossible, resorted to unspeakable means.

Cinders of a Lord
The version I made this wiki for is version 1. Changes might still happen, but this mod has already become the biggest overhaul you can find for Dark Souls 3. The mod was created by a user named "Xylozi" at Nexus Mods! So all credit goes to him for making it possible!!! Also, the maps I've used come straight from Fextralife.
All credit goes to Fextralife for creating the map models! Need help with the installation? Here is a quick tutorial video page. What is new in this overhaul? First of all, story progression rules out one area that used to be mandatory. This area is now optional! For you to discover what it is of course. Another major change is the addition of brand new spells. Some of them are spells that were in Dark Souls 2, other ones are just cut content spells or maybe even whole new spells.
All the equipment gained an effect while you wear it e. Also, new weapons and rings were added. That includes boss weapons as well!
ENemy drop rates have been changed too, meaning that covenant items are easier to get. Those items are tradeable with the Nestling which rewards you with randomized rewards.
Brightbugs were also added which was an item that I really missed from DS2. The covenants have also added effects. Full list of covenants and their Offerings will be listed on this page. Almost each area gets at least one hostile NPC who drops on defeat a unique weapon or ring yes, new equipment. I think I mentioned the most important stuff about this mod. I hope you all like the information that I have been posting. Be sure to follow my discord to discuss new changes in the mod!
